New alias | Need 301 redirect

Kudos to the development team on the responsive design!
I have changed our website alias from the club number to the club name: Pentictontoasties
This will be the canonical name. How do we create a 301 redirect so that the new alias is recognized rather than the old number?
I don't have access to the code for the <head> tags so I can't update nor place a Google verification code to have the search engine re-index.
Could you help with this? Thank-you, Beth

The club number will ALWAYS work along with the alias. We do not provide 301 redirects.

Read the docs on google tools, you use the alternative java script method, ther is a place in the admin console to insert.
