Email opt-in link does not work - 403 Error
6 years 2 months ago
I have made several attempts to send a new member email and everytime the link to opt-in does not work. She is getting the below error message:
I tried to send on a doc so you could test the link, but doc files aren't permitted. So I converted it to a jpg.

Have her copy paste the text of the link into her browser. Her email system is modifying the hidden link.

The image you provided is for the Support website not your club website. Have you read the documentation onh how to add a member to your club website?

I sent the link that was on the email sent to the new member. I have added new members for three clubs for many years. This is the first time the link provided to the new member did not work. I have re-sent the welcome email - a new option you added recently. None of the new links works. If I had your email I could forward the actual email she received. I did a screen shot and sent you the jpg already. It does not work.

When you add a new member or resend the opt-in link, the site admin gets a copy of the email, with the links omitted. The email is nothing like the one you've provided here. As Brian says, the image you've provided is for access to this support site, not for your club website.
Try resending the opt-in message to her (from the drop down list in Membership Management)

I am at wits end. Last night I re-sent the op-in request because we were together at a meeting. I instantly received the admin email advising me the email was sent. She received nothing during the 1 1/2 hour meeting. This morning she received an email - unsolicited - from TI telling her how to reset her password. Still nothing from FreeToastHost
Today I tried something new. I deleted her as a new member. Then added her back, thus supposedly generating a brand new first time opt-in email. I instantly received the admin acknowledgement email @ 3:41 PM - absent the links she needs to select. It is now 4:46 PM - a full hour later - and she is still waiting on the opt in email. She is an Officer and needs access to our club website. What can I do?
Her name is Linda Childress
I hope we can get this resolved. We are both ready to give up.
