Certificate for custom domain?

Hi,

I've checked the documentation and looked for old forum posts on this topic, but how do I get an SSL cert for my custom domain?

My domain is sfmet.org, and the club number is 2258108. I just switched over to a custom domain and when I access the site, it's telling me the cert is invalid. From what I can tell, FTH runs letsencrypt for our domain? So if I am right, this should resolve itself after a while?

I just wanted to make sure and check if there's anything I need to do to get it working.

The cert for your domain is valid until January 18, 2022 when it will be renewed by FTH.

Certs expire every 90 days.  Our renewal loop starts trying to renew them after 60 days.  (To prevent any expirations.)

Thanks! I was just wondering if it was automatic since there was no cert when I first changed it to the custom domain, and when I read the documentation, there didn't seem to be any mention of it automatically happening. But glad to know that FTH helps us handle the certs automatically.

It is only practical to do an automated renewal since the free LE certs have such a short lifetime.  Also, we are managing the certs for 987 custom domains.  (I just checked the count.)   It is a scheduled cron task that runs weekly (weekends) on the server.   I put a lot of thought and time into getting the certs renewal scheme up and going... major pain in the neck, but I'm happy it seems to be working most of the time now.  :-)
