UNABLE TO EDIT AGENDA HEADER due to JAVA ERROR (not of our making)

As noted in other posts- there is some java error precluding a lot of agenda management.   Here is the message we get.  Reloading the page through this option or forcing it at the bottom of the page does not clear the problem. 

1. agenda opens
2. edit tool opens
3. can select header
4. can edit header
HOWEVER 
5. fails on SAVE every time
