Mentor/Protege broken?

Aloha,

I am the VPE for Aloha Toastmasters (club 601). We have a mentor/protege part of the website and I remember seeing a part where I (as VPE) could see the results from what members submitted to the form and assign mentors to proteges but I cannot see that part of the website anymore. Can you make this part of the website visible to me again? It would make my job easier if I could use that part of the website again.

btw- I tried to find documentation on the mentor/protege feature of FTH websites but searching did not turn up any results. It would be helpful to have some documentation of this feature for both the members and VPEs.

Mahalo,
Patrick

This is the 'Assign Mentors' dialog box. It's one of the tools available in Membership Management but it also appears as a menu item for the VPE. Since yours is missing the FTH developer will have to look into this.

The document for this feature is here:

support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/assigning-mentors

@Steve, I verified that 601 has Patrick set as VPE but the Assign Mentors item is not in his menu.

Sorry, but the above is totally incorrect.   Please see the following in the Email and Contact Forms module:

Ok. I've logged in (I am Patrick Chee) and I still don't see that "assign mentors" tool in my "members only" section. Do I need to ask my Admin to fix that? Or is there a way I can also be allowed to do membership management? There are oftentimes things as VPE I'd like to do but cannot because I assume they are available to the VPM and the Admin only.

btw- We may have also assigned the mentoring to one of our other members (Kevin Doyle) to help.  Is this "assign mentors" tool only available to one member at a time? If so, can it be changed so we can have more than one person assist with managing the mentor program?

Thanks,
Patrick

Thanks Steve. Apparently got distracted and missed that.

Patrick; your site is set to put the Assign Mentors in the menu for the VPE and shown in the image Steve posted. You may need to clear your cache and use the 'Click here to reload site from server' link at the bottom on your site.

To give Kevin this access/menu item would mean changing the assignment as shown in the above picture from VPE to Kevin. The recipient of mentor/mentee form submissions and the Assign Mentors menu item can only be one person while any officer with access to Membership Management can use the assign mentor tool. Your site is currently set to Pres, VPM, Secretary.

FYI:  It previously was not set for the VPE... I changed it to the current setting last night.
