Is there a way to tell when someone was added to the prospect list on the member management page?  Or is best practice to move them out of this list expeditiously?  Thanks in advance!

Not automatically. You can use the Follow-Up Tracking Tool to make note of this. It's also a handy place for your club to periodically review prospects and guests to ensure anyone listed on these panels is not forgotten.
