Marilyn,
Sadly, I did not get much a response

but, I did get some help from a few members. They went Google Wild and put together a nice FAQ. In addition, I found a variety of resources available on Toastmasters.com that I made links to. Also, I am working on the Communicating on Video, so I decided to do a project that we use on the website as a New Member welcome.
We keep the page on the members only menu but I have attached a PDF printout of the page here for you.

The big blank spot at the top is a the welcome video. You can see the video on YouTube at
. It's only 4 minutes because 5 minutes is a lifetime in "Internet Years." Leave a comment and let me know what you think. I didn't move around a lot, my evaluator said I looked Max Headroom (remember that?).
Again, Toastmasters is about communicating face to face so the page does not and can not replace the Orientations. It is just our way to make sure that everyone gets the same information and new, excited or anxious members can satisfy their curiosity without feeling embarrassed.
Good luck, and write back if you come up with other good ideas!
Thanks
