I did an experiment. I setup my analytics report to send a special 'new visitor' report to my fellow club members.
I tried to route it via members-2555@toastmastersclubs.org but unfortunately it appears PDF attachments do not play nice in FTH server'ville. This is most likely a spam protection setting.
The attachments show up as chr gibberish hence the 'no soup for you' reference below
(Seinfeld reference)
Anyway the workaround is to send it to an email account and manually forward or use an email client routing rule. Thought I'd let all y'alls know if you were planning to try something similar. Be aware this email account must be listed as the primary or secondary in your FTH settings.
I've attached a copy of our analytics report for your viewing pleasure should you want to get your geek on.
This particular analytics report focuses on
new visitors... the most precious and valuable visitor type. Plz note the report is not quite accurate as some member-only pages are accessed and thus misreported as 'new visitors'.
Most likely the biggest deal on the report is this snippet. It shows new (not returning) visitors and how they found our club website. The second line shows five visitors found our club website via toastmasters.org and they visited an average of 6.2 pages. The big question is did any of them contact us (conversions)?
Friendly msg intended to send along with auto-generated report.
PDF attachments are converted to character gibberish when routed through FTH servers. Most likely a protection/spam setting.
