Linking Reoccuring Roles in the Agenda

Hi,

How do I know when roles occurring a second time in the agenda (for example the Word Master who first explains his role and then gves his report) are linked so that the role taker enters his/her name just once.

We added the role of "President introduces the Toastmaster of the evening" immediately before the TM opens the educational session (we have a buffet before that). This role should be assigned to the President but the name entered shows up at every instance of the Toastmaster so the name of the TM has to be entered instead.

I would like to unlink the two but see no such option on the page provided for editing the agenda. I fear that if I remove "President ..." role I will prevent anyone from signing up for TM

Also, all occurrences of Toastmaster start with a " * " on the editing page. Is that a clue?

Thanks.

Linked roles all contain a keyword surrounded by asterisks, when viewed in the editing panel. So, you could have "*Toastmaster* introduces speaker" and "Closing remarks by *Toastmaster*" and they'd be linked. In your case, it sounds as though the problem entry has been set up as "President introduces *Toastmaster* of the evening"

If you remove the asterisks from that role, it won't be linked any more. That's easy to do when editing an agenda template. When editing an actual agenda, though, you'd need to delete the role entirely and then create a new one without the asterisks.
