Linking to Pre-Built HTML Pages

If you upload a pre-built HTML file (Perhaps output from the Club Scheduler Program or the like, or even an MS word xml file) using the File Manager in FTH 2.0 you will not be able to do anything but download it, as opposed to displaying it. Here is a way around that situation.

Use the Create Custom Page function in FTH 2.0 and build a completely blank new page.

Now bring up your pre-built html/xml page in another tab. In the new tab, use edit==>select all==>copy to puit the page in your paste buffer.

Go back to the FTH 2.0 WYSIWYG editor on the other tab and select Format==>formatted and then paste in your page. Fill in the page title etc. and set it to either members only or public, SAVE and you are done.

If you have any trouble with the Format==>formatted route, display the target new page as "source" and then paste in your pre-built page.

Because you used "Create Custom Page", your new page will display, rather than being a download.

Bill:

Bill one issue with this is that many generators like ms word etc use control files that will not be available so the page will not show correctly.
