NEW FEATURE - Buttons to directly download Pathways Project Resources

This new feature was the result of several people working together collaboratively--good things can happen when people do that.

I particularly want to acknowledge FTH Ambassador Pam Holley, ACS, ALS, and FTH user Ellen Liboriussen, ACB, ALB of Deltones Toastmaster Club 867. Both made significant contributions to this new feature.

Now, when you select a Pathways project from the project drop-down two buttons may appear that link directly to the corresponding Project Description PDF and Project Evaluation PDF files. These files have all been uploaded to the FTH server. Assuming that you can load PDF files in your browser, you should find that you can click those buttons and the appropriate PDF file should be displayed for you in your browser. (There may be a slight delay to allow for downloading from the FTH server to your browser--please keep that in mind.)

This is intended to be a convenience feature. You will not need to log into Base Camp to access those files. Here is a screen shot of what this looks like:

Great feature! Between alternate Agenda formats and now this, FTH is better than reading my mind!

When I used this feature for the first time, I noticed that both the Project Description and Evaluation Form files have the same filename, so in my browser (Firefox) download list I have Introduction_to_Toastmasters_Mentoring.pdf and Introduction_to_Toastmasters_Mentoring(1).pdf. (My Company has some bugaboo about PDF files and they do NOT open automatically).

Is it hard to modify the filenames to spell out which is which? Say, Introduction_to_Toastmasters_Mentoring_Description.pdf and Introduction_to_Toastmasters_Mentoring_Evaluation.PDF?

Is this something a new volunteer could help with?

Good point. Working on it now - the uploads won't work for the next 30 minutes or so.

Description and Evaluation files names are now prefixed with "D_" and "E_" respectively

I can't get my help desk to call me back as quickly as you fixed this!
