Assigning members to roles that do not allow member sign up

One other small item that I noticed. When we set up our agendas every meeting opens with the sergeant at arms followed by the president. In the past as an administrator I would set those up as roles that people could NOT sign up for, and I would be able to enter the name of the sergeant at arms and the president. That way their names would appear on the agenda and I could copy that agenda throughout the ToastMaster year.

After the upgrade it seems that the only way I have access to add a name to a roll on the agenda is to click the checkbox that says ”allow people to sign up for this role" then I can choose the drop-down to assign a name. But I don't want people to be able to sign up for this role. Once I uncheck that option it removes the name of the person I assigned and shows a blank on the agenda. As an admin I would like to be able to assign someone even when the option to sign up for the role is unchecked.

I hope that makes sense.

Assign the recurring members in the template and people still cannot sign up for the roles that are already occupied.
Thank you,

Got it.  It wasn’t clear because even when I logged on as MEMBER, since in my officer role I had access to agenda management, it looked like I could release the role and I assumed SIGN UP.  Once I removed my officer role access to test it became clear.  Thanks.
