Changing the Club's Website URL

I am with the Clayton Area Toastmaster (Club# 8546) and want to see about replacing our customer URL ( www.claytontm.com ) with a general address from Toastmasters.org /FreeToastHost.

How do we go about making the request and changes? Will it impact the existing content associated with the club website? Thanks for your help.

Ok, so lets unpack this...

We are Toastmasters here, but FreeToastHost is not directly connected to toastmasters.org, so there is no way you can get a URL that is associated with toastmasters.org. WHQ "owns" that URL and only they get to define what content is accessible via that domain name.

Your options are a different custom URL like you have now (you would have to talk to your domain registrar about that and likely pay another registration fee to them) or use a website alias (free) with your FTH website. e.g.
Code:
https://clayton.toastmastersclubs.org
The base URL for FTH if you do not use a custom domain is "toastmastersclubs.org" and cannot be changed (unless you use a custom domain).

In any case, as FTH saves your content in our MySQL database, your data is saved regardless of the way you access it.
