List of bounced email addresses

I've (finally) read all of the system messages after logging into Admin on our club website. We sporadically use the email lists for Guests, Former Members, Friends, Prospects. One of our officers used them today and mentioned that she received a bunch of bounces.

Is there a way to get a list of email addresses that are bouncing back so we can just clear them off our list?

Not currently. We maintain a log of bouncing email addresses in the database, but they are not tied to any specific club. It is strictly for system use.

We would have to somehow make that connection. It is not something I am going to put any time into currently.

You should be taking note of those bounces anyway and clearing them out as they come in. Your officer should be able to just make a list from their email.

Eventually, the system will clear them out once they have bounced 4 times.

Thanks. I suspected that would be the case. We will endeavor to be better website managers. We've been very lax over the past couple of years.

Keep in mind that we are only logging those bounces that are sent emails that are returned to the server.

However, our goal is to determine whether an email address is invalid before we ever send the email. If we do not send the email, we do not log a bounce in our bounce log, we just just send a bounce back to you. (never sent to the invalid email address from server)

Our bounce log is mainly for the system to avoid sending email to email addresses that otherwise seem "ok".
