Send emails to members once signed up for roles

Good afternoon. I tried searching and I don't see that this question has been asked before, but if it has please refer me to the thread. What I am looking for is the functionality to send an email to a person once they have signed up for a role. I am in a corporate club 5951591 leprino.toastmastersclubs.org/ and we are wanting to send an email to someone once they have signed up for a role. This email would include instructions for how to complete the role or a link to our company sharepoint site. We have explained to everyone that the information is on our sharepoint site, but we are finding that people are not looking up how to do their role ahead of time. Instead of having the TM or VPE send the instructions to each person, we thought it could be helpful if once a member signed up for a role, if it could send an automatic email based on the role they signed up for. Is this an option?
Thank you so much for your help!
Valerie

Look at the agenda and beside the persons name is an envelop click it and send them an email.

Sounds more like an issue of education of your members is required they system sending more emails won't make them read or bring the instructions with them to the meeting.

Our club printed all the role cheat sheets embossed in plastic and they are handed out to the people at the meeting.
Thank you,

Thanks for the reply Brian. I agree about the education piece, but I'm trying to determine if the functionality is there for the system to automatically send an email to the person who signed up for the role without someone having to manually click the email button. Does that functionality exist?
Thanks!

no

If we did add that we would probably get complaints that we were spamming clubs. :S

I took another look at this... I have a different take on this.

Put a link to whatever you want in the role descriptions, then when you send out an agenda email, your members only need to click the link in the appropriate role description to get the appropriate info.

I think this probably would accomplish what you are after without having to send out a lot of emails.
