FTH mobility

Me again, with a question posed to me before the District 56 Spring Conference; the question is...

“Does anyone know if there are plans to make FTH mobile accessible via a mobile app?”

Our primary focus is on responsive design, which means that the website template adapts to fit both desktop browser and mobile browser sized screens, as needed. I have created a mobile-focused dialog (quick role sign-up) and may do more of those in the future, but it is still browser dependent.

Developing dedicated mobile apps (based in Java or Objective C) would require time and resources that we do not currently have. Additionally, an app would mainly be useful for the members-only stuff in the system.

At this point in time, my focus is on continuing to maintain the current system and to update it to make the responsive design tech work better.

You and the FTH team do a lot for Toastmasters Clubs and Districts...I hope you know how much we appreciate all that you do fo us.
