Certificate Issue and GoDaddy URL Redirrect

CLUB#621016 ... www.bdtm.org ... 621016.toastmastersclubs.org

We have been having the following issue now for some time. When trying to get onto our site using www . bdtm . org, we would get the following message.
Your connection is not private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from www . bdtm . org (for example, passwords, messages, or credit
cards). Learn more
NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

I and most of our members could still click on the "Advanced" button and proceed to the website, but we would get warnings about the Certificate being expired or that the site was not secure and we could hacked.

Today things changed and several could not get on using www . bdtm . org at all. The screen for some now states that the website can't be reached, that it might be temporarily down or it may have moved. I am still seeing

cards). Learn more
NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID
This server could not prove that it is www . bdtm . org; its security certificate is from shortener.secureserver.net. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection.

Proceed to www . bdtm . org (unsafe)
There is also a read "Not Secure" message next to the address box in the web browser.

We can still access our site using 621016. address so it is still there.

I did go onto GoDaddy and make a change to always redirect bdtm.org to 621016.toastmastersclubs, but I'm noticing that the URL now shows the 621016 name instead of the bdtm name which is not what I want since we are paying for that website name.

Should I have tried to resolve this a different way?
Is there a better or more correct way of correcting this?
