Unable to re-assing Officer Roles in Membership Management

I've been trying since July 1 to update the officer roles in Membership Management. I can assign the roles, click the save button, but the changes are not actually saving. Please help fix this issue?

I don't see any issues,
Provide a couple of officers and first names so I can try the change.

Jean-Francois Lecuyer: from President to Immediate Past President
Sanjeev Dutt: from VP-Education to President

An error message shows when saving. Member Frank's email address has a problem. You'll have to correct that (or delete his email address until you can correct it) before you can make changes to your Membership list.

I hadn't scrolled up to see the error message. Removing the email allowed me to save the changes. Thank you.
