Request to clarify mailing list for using the officers alias
4 years 2 months ago
If a club officer emails officers-#######@toastmastersclubs.org, do all current and/or other officers receive this email? If both types of officers receive the email, then what is the alias for emailing only the current officers (President, VPE, VPM, VPPR, Secretary, Treasurer, SAA, and IPP)?

Email sent to officers-#######@toastmastersclubs.org is forwarded to all of the members listed as officers on your club website, including other officers.
If you want to exclude "other" officers from getting officer email, you could create a custom group (see documentation here: support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/custom-groups ) for the officers you want to get the email, e.g. exec-#######@toastmastersclubs.org. You would have to remember to update the custom group when there is a change of officers, and let your members know which group to use.

Thanks! It seems officers-#####@toastmastersclubs.org emails the entire list of officers and other officers even though the description states current officers. Since members are more likely to email the top seven ranked officers than "other officers", perhaps this feature enhancement (e.g., exec-####@toastmastersclubs.org) can become a default club email address.

It is your clubs choice to use the "other" officer role. If you remove them you will have the function you want.
This is not something we will consider.
