SPAM Email Suspicious Hacked Toast Host - 'You have an outstanding payment'

Although I am located in the UK, I am a member of an online San Diego club called Balboa Park Toastmasters. I am currently their VPPR.

On Friday August 11th 2023, I received an email from what looks like a scam email - rather than SPAM - threatening to send videos of me watching porn if I don't pay their ransom. Distributing videos of me watching seedy porn is fine with me but the blackmailing approach with various clickable links is totally unacceptable.
The scammers have found my generic email from Toast Host, and it's evident that they really don't know me at all from their letter and praying on those who may feel vulnerable, as well as gullible. I've attached a copy of the email and implore you NOT to REPLY or CLICK ON ANY OF THE LINKS. This is where you may exacerbate the issue and potentially allow the perpetrators to hack your PC.

I am not sure what can be done, other than provide tighter security on the Free Toast Host sites. But we can be more diligent to these bastards!!

1) yes the internet is a place of spammer, hackers, and philshers.

2) we do what we can to block spam etc, and give you tools to block these kind of emails. Such as the link at the bottom of the email that will put the email address on your clubs black list.

3) you can assist even more by posting the internet headers of the offending email so we can block the IP of the sending server.
Thank you,
