Open Graph image property

Hello.
In a previous post , it was mentioned that the open graph image property (og:image) is not supported currently but might be in the future. Is there a timeline for the rollout?
The reason why I am asking is because posts in platforms like LinkedIn show previews of the link to our website ( foxvalleytoastmasters.toastmastersclubs.org/ ) with the loader image showing (see graphic). We have been deleting the previous to get around that.
