Pathways projects
3 years 6 months ago
On the FTH agenda, I am not able to label Active Listening as a required Level 2 project in the Strategic Relationships Path. This is new since the Pathways update late last year. FTH still shows it as a level 3 elective in this Path. Cross-Cultural Understanding has vanished from the new Pathways but is still there in the old. For confirmation this has indeed changed, please check here:

I love the feature of being able to pull out an evaluation right from the agenda! Please make it this one tiny bit better!
For this problem, please refer to Club 6133.

I see the change in your document and on the TI website here
www.toastmasters.org/pathways-overview/p...c-relationships-path
I don't recall hearing of any updates other than to Level 1 and the move of Researching & Presenting to L3 for paths purchased after 27 Oct 2021.
We'd need to know the date the change was made to Strategic Relationships before we can adjust the project lists on FTH.
Presumably, anyone who registered for Strategic Relations before the change is still expected to do the original L2 projects.
Until we have the details you can at least choose the L3 option for Active Listening or use one of the paths to which the L2 option applies. Your VPE or website admin will be able to correct it later

I have no idea when the change was made. I can only assume it was made the same time as the other changes. I purchased Strategic Relationships (my 5th Path) in the newer version. My experience with Pathways tells me changes are being made constantly in response to member evaluations.

It is a big challenge for us to keep up with changes in Pathways content and program usage requirements.
The challenge of keeping everything in sync is one of the concerns I had when I implemented the FreeToastHost Pathways support. Given that Pathways "Basecamp" is built on top of a commercial "learning management system" (LMS) that TM HQ is likely paying a good bit for, there are likely a lot of intricacies in that system including logic for who can do what projects... There is only so much that we can realistically replicate in terms of that logic in our code without basically replicating the underlying system (which is not something I want to do). Additionally, the Pathways Basecamp code has access to which TM members have paid for which paths... that is another example of something that we cannot realistically address in FreeToastHost.
Because of that, we do rely on users such as yourself for helping to keep us aware of changes in Pathways as they occur. (thank you for that) Even then, there may be some changes that we cannot fully reflect in FreeToastHost because of the above mentioned challenges. We will do the best we can to support Pathways in FreeToastHost, but it will likely always be a bit imperfect.

I purchased the Strategic Relations path yesterday and concur that the Cross Cultural Understanding project isn't in L2 anymore, and has been replaced by Active Listening.
I've amended the drop down list and labelled the L2 Active Listening as NEW, and the L3 Active Listening & L2 Cross-Cultural Understanding projects as OLD.
I don't recall these changes ever being announced.
