I was wondering if maybe there could be a way to have an option to produce a version of the agenda where instead of full names being used, initials or first names only are used.  This is so that guests can be sent the agenda but the privacy of members is protected.  The options can then include the following:
  • first name + last name
  • first name + last initial
  • first name
  • first initial + last initial
  • first initial
  • no name at all

I realize now that currently the name is simply one field and is not split into first name and last name, so perhaps this means that the name field be split up, but if not, then the options could be
  • full name (whatever is already entered into FTH)
  • first initial (or initial of whatever is already entered into FTH)
  • no name at all

Right now, I simply don't send any agenda out to guests at all, but I know some guests would appreciate seeing an agenda so they know there is a structure.

1) This would have to be passed by the Toastmasters International lawyers,, and at this time we all know how non responsive TI is.
2) You have the option of creating a printout of a standard agenda before anyone signs up to hand out to guests to show the format of the meeting.

Thanks, you confirmed my feeling that we aren't really supposed to share the agenda with people's names (at least full names) with guests.  I remember one time when another exec member forwarded the agenda to a guest and I thought, why is an agenda with all our names being given to a guest?  Then I thought, maybe I'm being sensitive... after all, it does look more professional.  And then I thought about it a bit more and decided it is indeed a privacy issue, as well as it is more work to need to send the agenda to guests.

I will try your suggestion of having just a standard agenda without any names.  I might have a few depending on the agenda for that particular meeting.  Thanks so much!
