Admin email removal event warrants some backup notice?

I normally blow by (Ignore and keep) the messages that pop up when I login as Site Admin... but they managed to catch my attention this time:
[Sun, 27 Aug 2023 01:57:41 UTC, FreeToastHost System Warning]

Emails sent to the email address [ dave@mitton.com ] have bounced too many times and exceeded the FreeToastHost limit for returned emails.  The error information for the last bounced email is as follows:

Your email message to dave@mitton.com could not be delivered
and was returned to the FreeToastHost server. Details are as follows:

    Recipient Email Address: dave@mitton.com
Email Subject: Your mailbox is Full
    Date Sent: 27 Aug 2023 03:57:02 +0200

Diagnostic Code: 550 5.7.1 Message contains spam or virus. [1693101456-219347]
    Delivery Status: 5.7.1 securityerror
Date Last Attempted: Sun, 27 Aug 2023 01:57:38 GMT

NOTE: This email address may be invalid or non-working and should be changed, deleted, or updated to allow delivery.
Refer to the following user documentation for other ways that your recipient may be able to use to remedy this problem:
         support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/e...embers-receive-email

If you have any questions about this, please visit us at support.toastmastersclubs.org .

This automatically generated message is to notify you that this email address ***has been removed*** from the FreeToastHost database to prevent it from causing further bounces.  Places where this email address was cleared are as follows:

Website Admin Email Address,
Email Address in Email White List

Repeatedly attempting to send emails to invalid, non-working email addresses hurts the overall email reputation of the FreeToastHost system and will not be tolerated.

Please ensure that valid, functioning email addresses are in use to prevent further actions of this nature in the future.

Refer to the following user documentation in the future to ensure that your recipients can receive your emails:
support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/e...embers-receive-email

If you have any questions about this warning, please visit support.toastmastersclubs.org

So I looked around, and indeed you had overwritten my email address with a no-email placeholder.  (I have fixed them back)
The problem is that my email address continues to work just fine for my day-to-day usage, and I see nothing on the providers's site (hover.com) that says I'm at any sort of size limit.   This was two weeks ago, and I've received much mail since.   So I'm suspicious of this event. and wonder if you were spoofed somehow.  (though stuff does happen)

Furthermore,  I'd like to suggest the concept of a backup admin email.   Or sending email to the President, if you ever find you are disabling email to the Admin of record.

Sincerely,   Dave Mitton

Looks like your contact email address was spamed
Code:
SUCCESS (User Email) Mon 2023/09/11 13:05:58 UTC Club:[508] From:[mailbox.quota@merrimack-toastmasters.org ()] To:[contact@merrimack-toastmasters.org>dave@mitton.com] CC:[] Subject:[Your Mailbox Quota Is Full!]

Yes, several times recently. I don't believe there is a way to stop that, since it's a public address.
I've had to "train" my fellow officers not to react to these phishing scams.
I just didn't realize that FTH would be triggered somehow.
I even had my address in the white list.

When it is spam, you need to make sure you train everyone to block the from email using the link at the bottom of the contact emails.
Code:
[code] [b]Is this spam?[/b][color=#000000] Click the following link or go to the web page below to add this sender's email address ([/color]xxxxx@yyyyy.tld[color=#000000]) to your FreeToastHost club website email blacklist: [/color][u][b]Click To Block Sender[/b][/u] [color=#000000]Web Page: [/color]xxxxxxxxyyyyyyxxxxxxxxxx
[/code]

Right.  The spam block link is not included if the domain of the From address is the same as the domain of the To address.  That is the case here, so the spam link would not be included in this case:
Code:
SUCCESS (User Email) Mon 2023/09/11 13:05:58 UTC Club:[508] From:[mailbox.quota@merrimack-toastmasters.org ()] To:[contact@merrimack-toastmasters.org>dave@mitton.com] CC: Subject:[Your Mailbox Quota Is Full!]

You can always just manually add an email address to the Email Blacklist.  The spam link added to emails is just a shortcut added for convenience.
