Web service API?

12 years 2 months ago
#35287
Hi,

I am a member of club 2133 (Fox Talkz) and would like to know if there is a public API (Webservice) that I could use. We would like to write a mobile website for members to sign up for roles and maybe for attendance records. Is this something that may be available already? If that is not the case, I would like to volunteer to create such a web service for every club to gain access to.

Please let me know if this sounds like a feasible request.

Sorry there is no API available. FTH is based on custom code.
Thank you,

Thanks for your answer Brian,

It seems that having access to the custom code/database is not a viable option? I could help write the API for everybody to use.

I will be addressing mobile at some point via jQuery Mobile. It is just not a priority at this point.

We are not going to release any API's for the foreseeable future. The code is custom, proprietary, and subject to change. Creating/publishing an API would effectively lock down our implementation in a way that is undesirable at this point. Not saying "never"... however, that decision would be made by people beyond me.
