Automatic login url/messge not working

Hello: I am the website administrator for three club websites and have the same problem with all three(3941, gene, and 899228). :( I like to click on the url provided in the message received from the website after clicking "Close" when logging in. I drag and drop this e-mail message to my desktop for constant fast access to my website. This e-mail promises:
"Click on the link below to access your club website as a member. The site will remember you for as long as you are using the same computer/device and do not clear your cookies". However, since the beginning of 2014, this url does not deliver as promised. It only lasts for a few uses, after which I am no longer logged in as a member or sometimes an administrator. When I try and log in again from the url provided in the message, I receive the following message when I try and re-log in: "There was an error with your log in -- the session id attached to your e-mail (x5VWSfaEc1aRkBj56z6yh5z2m) was not valid. Please check to make sure the full link was sent when clicked. I tried copying the complete url and entering it in the url box, but got the same error message again. Please tell me how I can keep my "Close" log in e-mail working constantly from my home computer desk top as promised in the message I receive. "The site will remember you for as long as you are using the same computer/device and do not clear your cookies" Thanks for any help you can give to correct this problem! The management of cookies is local to your PC, you can have security software or browser settings that clear cookies.

Do not use links in Email to access your website, instead go to your site login and bookmark the screen after you are logged in.

The link in the email is for the initial visit to the site where you set you password and is only valid for one use, this has not changed.
Thank you,
