I have several email adresses, but i login as

which is the 1 that i registered in the FTH host.

So i login as myself, not administrator, in the FTH host & click on "club email adress;" see attachment; right click & copy/paste
members-2548@toastmastersclubs.org

compose a message & send. 2 days later i get a response with the subject
Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender

So far, i've used
officers-2548@toastmastersclubs.org

so far, fingers crossed, no bounced messages, but i started using both on the same day. I do have people on my roster who are non-current members which i've labelled them as such. I hope that's not the problem!

Yandex is banned from our system as is is a major spammer and source of hackers. We will not accept any connections from Yandex, please choose another free email host. Such as gmail, yahoo, hotmail.

hmm, okay, i'll try to project manage the migration out of yandex, but just out of curiousity, how did u gather the statistic that yandex was as bad as it is?

I had a yahoo acct, but it was horrible with SPAM. In fact they terminated my account, would not tell me why, & would not let me retrieve my contacts or mail. So i lost many of my toastmasters contacts. Apparently it happened to a lot of other toastmasters as well. the result was i was isolated from FTH & i could not even reset my admin acct bec I used the yahoo acct for incl the admin password. It was very chaotic both for me & my club & took several months to reset the admin password.

As for gmail, i must say they do a very good SPAM filtering, they even filtered much of my "useful" mail ie not spam!

Conversely, bec very few people in the english speaking world know that Yandex exists even tho it is a russian equiv of google/gmail. Over a 9month period, I have only gotten 1 SPAM message. I dare not count the number of my gmail acct! This is why i chose Yandex over all those that you mentioned. They simply draw too much attention.

I hope u understand that i have serious misgivings abt using those email providers. If i have to go thru the same cycle & wait another several mo for the FTH admin password to be reset, my club could collapse. As it is, our club nearly did collapse bec we were forced to change the location of our meetings & there was no way to communicated that via the web bec i did not have the admin password.

Yandex IP slammed our servers over and over with spam and hack attacks.

crikey, that's a nightmare! okay, i have since thot up a workaround, albeit an ugly one. Let's c if it happens for us!
