Accidently deleted content from table topic winner section

After uploading the new photos to our server, I then uploaded one of the photos to the the table topic winner section. When I did that all of the other content that was on there previously, disappeared. I am not sure where the content went or if it is recoverable. My thought is that the IT department who run the college server, which is where our website is located, might be able to recover it.

What exactly did you do when you did the "upload"? Copy/paste is *not* an upload and is *not* supported for photos.

I saved the photo to my computer. Then, while on the weekly topic champion section I clicked on the image (image properties Icon). Then I clicked on the Upload tab, and browsed for a photo. I then clicked on the button "send it to the server". Then I clicked on the image info tab and clicked on the 'browse the server' button. After choosing the desired photo, I clicked on the okay button. I after shrinking the image, I believe I pressed the save button at the bottom, before checking to make sure everything was there. Now all of that content that was on the page previous is gone, and the text about that one table topic winner, and the one image remains.
