Club Website was created by RJenn
I wanted to get some work done on our club Toastmaster site. I noticed that it was no longer there. I would like for anyone who is interested in Toastmasters to be able to find our club site.

When a member goes to Find a Club on the TI website the cannot find our club.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Richard,

This is the information we have for your club website:

Club Number: 2113
Club Domain:
Club Alias:
Admin Name: Robert Perry
Admin Email: rperry@
Registration Date: 2012-01-31 21:51:12

If this is wrong you can submit a change request: www.toastmastersclubs.org/change/

If the website is incorrect at TI, Find a Club, here are the instructions to correct that: support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/u...s-international-site

The club is still there: 2113.toastmastersclubs.org/ works. I recommend using the club number version of your website address in the Find A Club info... it will always work.

It seems that your domain name ticktalk.org has expired and been taken up by someone else, probably hoping that you will buy it back from them. You can find their details here: whois.domaintools.com/ticktalk.org You'll probably have to negotiate with them if you want it back.

Alternatively, by entering ticktalk as your club alias you can use ticktalk.toastmastersclubs.org as your website address for members to use and for marketing your club. Here is the documentation on how to setup your alias: support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/website-alias

As Steve says, using the default club number version will always work, even if you have a custom domain or a FTH alias, so that is the best option to use on Find-A-Club. It will work if the custom domain expires (as now) or if the alias is ever changed.

Well, you have a choice to make.

Use custom domain purchased via a registrar and set it up.

OR

Set up a website alias via Basic Settings: support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/website-alias

The former will be a bit involved for you, but simpler for your members to use. (We can coach you through setting it up.)

The latter will be the simplest for you to set up, and it is free. However, it will be a bit more cumbersome for your members to use, particularly for emails, since they will have to remember to use the club number in the email addresses. (You do not need the club number for emails when using a custom domain.)

Take a look at support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/a...whats-the-difference for a detailed comparison of the two approaches.

I would suggest reading over support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/basic-settings , particularly the parts on website aliases and custom domains.
