using prior dated agenda as template is copying the roles also

Hello Sir/Madam,

The enhancement of agenda templates showing the start time is very convenient and nice. Thank you so much.

In the process, whenever one of the past agendas is picked up as a template, it is copying the roles also.

Temporarily, as an administrator I can remove all the copied roles and make it available for the members to fill it. But, I am looking for a permanent fix.

Can you please help me....

I reported the same issue as an addendum to anoother support request on Thursday. I am guessing I did not do that the right way. So I had to open another thread and moreover no one has reported this issue yet.

I made a code modification... The assignments for roles in dated agendas marked as sign-up roles will be cleared in the created agenda.

The "marked as sign-up roles" part is the key stipulation--I believe that applies ok for your agendas. If you have pre-filled roles that are not sign-up roles (e.g. your Sgt At Arms or President, for example), those assignments will *not* be cleared. If you assign all roles with no sign-up roles indicated, then you would be better using an undated template for the starting place.

Please take a look and make sure you are seeing the difference.

Thank you much. Your code modification worked and now I am not getting any copied roles from the prior dated templates.Great.

We never include standard officer roles in our agenda. So, it does not apply even if we use prior dated agendas as templates.
It is a good idea to create an undated template so that, in the future, officer role fillup issue also will be taken care. I will do that.
