Two Admins At The Same Time was created by DeliberateJill
Hey, y'all!

I'm currently the administrator for the Bay Pines Toastmasters club (602900). I'd like to turn the admin rights over to another BP TM member.

Is there a way we can both be administrators as a back up for each other, especially as she is getting started?

Thank you!

Yes you can... Just add their name to the admin area and give them the password...

Linda, I think I know what you are referring to, but for those who are not familiar with your "cheat", care to be a bit more specific? I say "cheat", since the system is really designed to only support one admin at a time, but I know you have figured out how to get around this, beyond just sharing the admin password. Smarty! :P

However, are you still able to use your cheat on the admin email address? (I think my enhanced email address checking probably prevents that.)

Steve gave a good point... Thank you Steve... What I meant was, just add another email to the admin area next to your name and email, showing that they are an admin as well. Either that, or just give someone else the admin password, but I think it is easier if you give them the password and add them as an admin, if they want to be an admin...

Would I add their name like "Jill Haseltine and Leslie Graham" in the admin section and then just leave the one email address?

Linda uses semicolons as separators. She used to do the same "cheat" with the admin email (multiple addresses separated w/ semicolons) until I implemented the enhanced email address validation. No one has asked for me to support the prior undocumented "cheat" for the admin email address, so I have not made any effort to allow that again.
