File Manager not updating

#55579
Hello Wonderful Website Helpers!

I have been trying to upload a PDF onto the Public Downloads page of District 35 website, d35.toastmastersdistricts.org , without success. The response message says the action had been successful; however, when I go to check on it, the file is not there. I was able to both upload a new file earlier today and delete an old file after this unsuccessful venture.

Any ideas? The file size is only 83KB.

thank you for your time and consideration.

Peggy Lee,

I was able to upload a document with no problem.

Try scrolling all the way to the bottom of the page and click on the link Click here to reload website from server.

Then try to upload a file again.

Hey Roger!

I've tried the reload page from server but that didn't help. Also tried uploading a JPG and DOCX, which both did work.

I was, however, able to successfully upload a PDF on my club website (#1517456).

So what else could be blocking PDFs from uploading to downloads?

The first round of "saving" works, displaying the PDF document in the list. But on the 2nd round of saving, when exiting the admin console is where I lose the file. Here may be the reason why, though. During the first round of saving, when the file is displayed, I click the download link and try to open the item. Returned is the dialogue box that the file is corrupted and, therefore, couldn't be loaded.

I used the full professional version of Adobe Acrobat to create the file from a word doc (the same doc that successfully uploaded). I recreated the file using 3 different ways: 1) from the MS Word doc, Print to PDF; 2) from MS Word doc, Save as PDF; 3) using Acrobat PRO, Create PDF from single file.

Not any PDF uploads for me.

What's next to suggest? could it be something inside the site that's stopping the upload? What could it be?

Thanks much for the assist...hope the solution is simple!
Respectfully and gratefully,

From what you've said it seems to be a problem with the file.

As a test can you try (temporarily) loading the problem file to your club website, and a different file (other than the source .docx) to the district site?
What is the file size?

The file name is '2015-11-07 District Council Meeting Minutes'.

However, I tried shortening the name, and uploading a different PDF, both to no avail.

The original file had been previously and successfully uploaded into another folder a couple days ago.

l even created a new PDF from the MS Word doc, saving it to a different folder on my computer, but that did not work either.

I'm at a loss as to what else to try, especially since I had been successful loading that same PDF onto my club website.

Thanks for looking into this.

Peggy
