email to club via "members-" and "officers-" undelivered

:(
Several of our members have not been receiving emails when sent to "members-"club#@toastmastersclubs,org or "officers-"club#@toastmastersclubs,org

Other members report receipt without problems or issues.
I just happen to be one who is NOT receiving the emails --- since April this year.
Nothing was changed in my membership entry until July 1 when I changed officer roles (VP-M to President),
Individual emails arrive when sent to my email address from Membership Management.
Today, I changed my "Name, title" today since I have completed a new achievement level. (CC to ACB).

I'm sure you have heard it before but having "Name, Title" as one entry is at best short sighted since that is likely to change several times in any one year.

Well, our email logs show 3 emails sent to you in the last week:
Code:

Maybe you should check your junk mail folder... Also, refer to support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/e...embers-receive-email

Until you tell us which members have not received email, we cannot help much. ***Please help us help you.*** :pinch:

As far as your snarky comment about us (me) being "short-sighted", the system really does not care about what you enter as a name in Membership Management. It does not use that internally anyway... it is just for "human consumption". So, you could refer to yourself as Donald Duck, DTM... it does not matter. ;) Actually, your email address is much more important to the system.

Sorry about the snarky comment  . That "name, award" actually originates on the Toastmasters International site where they have combined name and "achievement level" which doesn't make sense from an administration standpoint since it's a variable. If you don't care about the awards/achievement, then I'll remove them from our website since they change frequently. and they are not updated automatically.

Thanks for the hint, but I had checked my Yahoo Spam Folder and there were no Toastmasters emails there. Maybe Yahoo has changed the way the handle the spam obsolescence. I will do some further tests and check with all of our members to be sure their email is being delivered, at least tot their spam/junk folder.

Overall, administration of this site seems to be pretty good, so I really have no serious complaints other than the dropped emails which may well be on the Yahoo end. I do not find it too difficult to maintain the website provided via the FreeToastHost. I have administered several email servers and many systems albeit in the distant past.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I wish I had contacted your earlier, that might have made my snarkiness less obvious.

Good idea in the link provided above:
create email contact list entries for server@toastmastersclubs.org and agenda@toastmastersclubs.org

I had forgotten about doing that as a simple precaution.
I'll work with other members to make sure that they have done the same and have them check their spam/junk folder.
My bad for not addressing this problem when it first showed up.

Thanks -- I scrolled back thru several weeks of SPAM/JUNK and found some of the missing emails. Other, older emails may have been "expired".
Solution will likely be adding the two contact to the contact lists.
