Automatic Update of Attendance to Reflect Dropping Roles

As a Secretary, when members drop their role, their attendance isn't automatically updated to uncertain or absent.  This can be confusing when the outdated response remains present, which may be true except that most people seem to drop roles due to not being able to attend anymore.  If that's not the case, they can sign up for another role, which automatically marks them present again.

Thx for the report.  I will look into it as soon as I get some free spare time.

I looked into this.  I think you misunderstand how this works.   Just because someone drops a role, that does not necessarily mean that they will not attend the meeting.  Perhaps that is the way it works in your club, but that is not guaranteed to be the case for all clubs.  I did consider all the scenarios when I designed and implemented this... There are some cases where "action X implies action Y" reliably (such as taking a role implies meeting attendance), but those implications are not always guaranteed.  Because of this, I update the attendance only when I can reliably do so.

If you are suggesting that there should be a follow-up dialog box to inquire whether someone still intends to attend a meeting when they drop a role, then you should post that as an improvement suggestion in that section of this forum.  I can certainly consider the feasibility of that, but I can tell you now that it will be challenging for the case of dropping roles via the emailed agenda, since interactivity via the emailed agenda (beyond the simple buttons and links) is very limited by how email works in general.
