District Merging: How Long Will Current Website Be Online?
3 months 2 weeks ago
Hi, I'm webmaster in one of the districts (9) that is part of the first wave of realigned districts and will be merging with D2 and D32 as of July 1. Does our tmd9.org site go away immediately on July 1, or is there any grace period? Also would like to know if there's a way we can download all our photos from the FTH server?
Many thanks,
Kathy Hansen

Kathy,
Another ambassador (or higher) might be of additional assistance, but based on my knowledge and experience, a FTH site, either for a club or district, does not "go away" unless requested to do so by an authorized party.
Regarding the downloading of photos, I am not aware of a download feature, since those files are not uploaded using the File Manager, but rather via the page editor. Thus, here are my two suggestions:
1) Get with the original party who uploaded the photos, who hopefully still has those image files in his/her possession.
2) With a FTH page showing the desired image(s) called up, do a right click (Windows) or two-finger click (Mac) and choose "Save Image As . . ." to save each image to your computer. The time to accompiish this is based on the number of images and your time finding the page(s) on which they were/are displayed, so with fingers crossed I would hope you can find the original image provider(s) to save time.

Re: District Merging: How Long Will Current Website Be Online?
3 months 2 weeks agoThis is the way. However, you don't have to seek images throughout your site's custom pages. You can do this in the images properties tab. Right click any image on any custom page (such as the home page) and select 'Image Properties'. When this dialog box opens, in the top right corner select 'Browse Server'. Here you can see all the images on your site and do the 'Save Image As" procedure.2) With a FTH page showing the desired image(s) called up, do a right click (Windows) or two-finger click (Mac) and choose "Save Image As . . ." to save each image to your computer.
