Gateway Timeout When Accessing Every FTH site

I am trying to access one of the many club websites that I support and am running into the following error:Gateway TimeoutThe gateway did not receive a timely response from the upstream server or application.

I have done a ping and got the following:

Pinging cityscapetm.org [50.19.253.65] with 32 bytes of data:
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.

Ping statistics for 50.19.253.65:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss),

It seems as if an old nemesis has reared its ugly head once again.......

Getting the same result, and noticing it also with my own club website.

I suspect bots are the cause. They seem to be everywhere these days.

Now, we are getting a Data Transfer Error involving a Javascript error.

Pings are blocked to prevent hackers from killing the server.

At this time the server is very busy.
