not sending to "non working email address" but it's valid

Adam is a new member. He completed the Opt In step. When I send out the agenda to the members distribution list, I get an error message about his email being a non-working address. But we can send email both ways between his email address and my regular Gmail account.

    

How can we clear up this error so he can get email being sent to the members list?

Have you checked his email is correctly entered?
If so, copy and pasting from your successful email into the membership form.
Typos & transpositions or spurious characters will mess things up with email.

Yes, I have checked that his email is correct, multiple times. It matches the sender address when he emails me directly. And I have even tried copying his address from his FTH profile, which I then pasted it into my Gmail message and successfully sent a message and received a reply. 

 

that email server was blocked because an old hack attempt. I have removed the block and sent him a test email. His email is now working.
