Want to put a flash photo gallery on your site for visitors to see everything going on in your club? We did at www.dunedintoastmasters.com with Google Picasa. It is as simple as copy and paste!

Here's how:
1. Sign in or sign up for a Google Account.
2. go to picasaweb.google.com
3. Click on MY PHOTOS
4. Upload some photos into an album.
5. Click on the Album
6. Over on right, click on LINK TO THIS ALBUM
7. Click on EMBED SLIDESHOW
8, Adjust the settings as desired and copy the HTML code.
9, Go to your site.
10. Launch the Admin Console
11. Paste the code where you want it!

Feel free to check it out on home page! I had to play with the styling to make it come out right but I think it is pretty slick!

Love it. I have sent your example to my club's officers to see if they have interest.

I am curious... People also have said they do something like this with Flickr. I have not tried either.

Have you also tried Flickr, and can you contrast some of the pros and cons of using one or the other?

I tried to do the same and Flickr but could never figure it out. This morning I thought about Picasa while I was in my Google account. I searched for the answer and boom it was there.

I googled and did find these:

flickrslidr.com/
www.flickr.com/help/blogging/#2937
www.flickrslideshow.com/
www.slideflickr.com/
lifehacker.com/210683/how-to-embed-flickr-slideshows

The last one seems pretty comprehensive with the iframe embed code that you would insert in Source view.

Not trying to take away from your great contribution, but I know that a lot of FTH users use Flickr, and that is why I brought it up.

Of course, not offended at all.

Perhaps Flickr would have a better transition setting. Google has none, you get what you get.

I am having trouble accessing flickr at the moment. (Support Request submitted).

Are both of these flash based? I'm wondering if they show on Apple devices.

Will someone plz test on their phone/pad/laptop. This may help decide the winner of the slideshow showdown at the FTH corral.
