I love these website evaluations. Thanks for letting me have a look at yours. I hope you'll also leave some notes for me. Here's my 2-cent's worth:
HOME Page
Love the big bold photo – very eye catchy. Also love the font size that I can read without squinting – yes I’m at that age…
I wonder why Sunrise Toastmasters is in the Banner and also, immediately under it, again in the page title. You might use the page title better - include your invite to visit right up top or put your tagline there.
On the Home page - instead of giving directions for finding the Contact Us link, you might consider a hyperlink to the contact us form.
To me, the home page is prime real estate to be used for the sole purpose of encouraging guests to visit or at least give us a LIKE on social media. For me, content like date established, directions and club number does not fit with the goals that I have for a website. Again, give them a hyperlink either to an email or a place in the website to make contacting you easier for the reader. Make it as easy as possible. But that’s just me, and there is certainly nothing wrong with your info here.
Meet Our Members – In my personal opinion, after the home page this is THE most important page. Guests will come here to see if you look like nice people – normal people – the type of people they want to spend time with. I would work very hard to encourage members to make their profiles public and to have a nice, bright, smiling, head and shoulders photo.
Meeting Information – info here is very good. I always appreciate a photo of the building to help me find it when I’m looking for the meeting venue.
Contact Us Form – thank you for including phone numbers! We’ve had several people get lost and need to call at the last minute for more information.
Two things that immediately struck me is that there is no information for a non-Toastmaster. What is Toastmasters? What makes your club unique among all others? You could include a bit of information about Pathways. I don’t see any information about an educational program it appears that you are a club that just has meetings. You could also include information about leadership opportunities to round-out the complete Toastmasters experience at your club.
Second, there are almost no photos of members interacting in meetings. Let us see some action. I'd like to have a feel of the smiles and giggles in one of your meetings.
Otherwise, it’s a simple, clean, no-clutter, easy to read site. I also appreciate that!
