UPDATED FUNCTIONALITY - Dues Module Maintenance Update

A minor maintenance update has been completed to the Dues Module functionality.  While this mostly comprises code improvements, you may notice the following visible changes, also...

Visible changes you may notice:
1.  The variable notation is changed from [...] to {{...}} to be consistent with the convention used everywhere else in FTH.

2.  The clubname variable is now only read only since it just uses what is entered in Website Settings.   Having another place to enter this in the Dues Module was superfluous.

3.  You can now use variables in the closing message.  That is now treated that as a user entered template.

4.  The actual invoice format is cleaned up and looks more professional.  e.g. using proper HTML tables with proper borders.

Thank you.
Is it possible to make the option of mentioning checks optional, as checks are nearly obsolete nowadays.
Thanks

That will not show if the {{payable}} box is empty.   The template has a variety of if-then logic in it behind the scenes.  Essentially, a template is being used to generate the template you see.

I just added some info text below the field name in the left column to explain the above.  Hopefully, that lessens confusion.

Since this is a recent update, we will need some time to update our user docs on this once users have had a short period to provide any appropriate feedback.

I have removed the text from the "make checks payable to" and the "mailing address for the check" but the preview still has that paragraph showing.

Thanks

Ok, you are referring to something different than I was.

What you are seeing is because you are just relying on the default template text, which you can override a bit in the settings.

Nonetheless, I went ahead and added some additional template logic to replace the check related stuff from the default template text with more generic default text mentioning "payments" rather than checks if {{payable}} is empty.   Again, though, since you can override the referenced text, I would expect you do that if you do not wish to use the default template text.
