Adding new member email address “BAD"

Dear admins,

A new member was added to our site but never received the email to approve her.  Upon using the email checker  to verify her address, it is showing up "Bad"

It was deleted and added back again (this is a new person with no history)
Entered space behind email address and saved. Email checker still shows Bad.
Added her to the whitelist
I also unchecked "Use the "Crowd-Sourced" Email Black List" just in case.
I have been emailing her for years so I know the address is good.
She is in a few other FTH based club using the same address and doesn't have any problems with them.

The email address is venuswilmer@gmail.com.

I have searched the posts and tried everything I could find.  Can you help us figure this out?

The new member has to click the link to authorize her being added to the site. Ask her to check her spam box.

The new member's email was caught in a gmail problem back in April.  The issue has been resolved.  I've reset her bounce count, and resent her opt-in email.  She should have received it this time, please follow up with her.
She has a secondary email listed with at least one of her other clubs, which is why she probably wasn't aware of the problem there.
