Toastmasters New Video Now Linked

The Toastmasters Video is now linked under the main menu. Clicking this link displays their 30 sec video in a non-obtrusive overlay window.

My employer blocks social links like youtube & facebook on my work computer. I expect that many employers do. It does not appear to block the podcast item on the club website.

Perhaps there is a location for the PSA that would be more available to people at the workplace.

Probably best not to work around an employers rules or you could find FTH completly blocked.

I was not actually expecting a response on this. I intended it as feedback to the marketing group who developed it and decided to put it there.

I am curious how items are added to the webiste. Are items market tested?

This link is in prime space to be viewed by thousands of employees at corporations, our prime target market. If blocked, at minimum, this is inefficient advertising; worse, it generates a negative message.

I don't know how sophisticated blocking software is, but it concerns me that it might associate our website with blocked data. As you say, the whole website could get blocked by association. Alternatives, would be to use TI webspace to host the message or mark it with the utube logo, so people know what to expect.

If I need to direct my feedback to TI, I would appreciate the contact information. If not, well, no need to reply.

Eventually we will get options to hide links built in like in FTH 1.0.
