When a registrar takes control of a domain they wipe out everything, and you loose the connectivity. The Registrars are playing a game they extend the date a year to keep control of it as they try and sell it back to you.

wow, okay my head is spinning :silly: . I will contact John and DomainPeople and pray that the last 5 strands of hair left will remain on my head.

Thanks for your prompt responses!

Then Steve, do you believe a company like hostway isn't that legit and we should switch to something else like GoDaddy in the future?

Wow what a nightmare that was... okay so the site is working now. Here is what I did:

I went back to Hostway and just happened to get the same person who had helped me before.
He had told me, and was trying to tell me again, that I needed to get help from GoDaddy since that is where the name servers were pointing. Then somewhere in there he mentioned he couldn't change the DNS records, only the name server. So then I said well then change the name server to Hostway - DUH!!!!!! That took him about 2 seconds to do. Then I was able to go in and change the DNS records and wa-la.

Just a simple switch in the name server, which probably happened because the domain wasn't renewed in time (and I told the guy that too but he still insisted I was wrong).

Nervous breakdown is over.
