down site Madera toastmasters 776147

As Toasthost admin of 776147 our club number. We have recently transitioned from Madera to Agora Toastmasters using the same club charter number and have merely changed the branding on the club url. After logging in the site was taken down and am directed to the Free Toast Host site to request a website. I immediately got a phone call from a TN number from Fred saying he needed to verify some info but since he didn’t identify himself from Toastmasters I deleted the number. Was he from Toasthost support? Who can we work with to resolve this issue. Am copying club president Bharti Mittal and Treasurer Rosa Ayala, Thanks Mark Chun 818-395-4517

Do we need to change the url from Madera to Agora Toastmasters to match our branding if so how is that done? We also need to modify url's in our pdf documents, links to/from Linked In and Facebook groups that are currently branded with Madera

 

Your club site is still there, and can be accessed via the club number i.e. 776147.toastmastersclubs.org (This version always works and can be used if there are problems with the alias or domain name.)

Coincidental spam. FTH never makes phone calls. All support is handled on the forums.

776147 access settings allow the Pres, VPPR and Treasurer access to 'Website Settings'.

Perhaps one of them switched the club alias as  agoratoastmasters.toastmastersclubs.org/ is currently active.

As Heni noted, 776147.toastmastersclubs.org is always active regardless of the presence of an alias or custom domain. FTH generally recommends using this address for external links pointing to a club site. This practice prevents having to chase down and update numerous links if something changes. (new alias, custom domain expires, etc)
 

I'm now able to access the site our alias was changed today to Agora instead of the Madera name.Thanks for the tips and quick responses, we are good now

Richard, correct another member changed alias while I waa working on the site as well to agoratoastmasters.toastmastersclubs.org/
