I couldn't find an article on the support site, so here are the steps I used to create my photo gallery. I did it using Tables to create the layout in my Gallery First, I decided I wanted to have 2 photos wide (2 columns), with 2 rows per photo, one for photo and one for a caption. You will want to guestimate how many photos you want, from which you can calculate the number of rows to add (number of rows = number of photos). Note that you can only add one row at a time, but you can delete multiple rows at a time, so it is better to have too many than too few. Create a custom web page, enter a "Web Page Title" (to appear in the menu, i.e. Photo Gallery 2010-11), enter a Web Page Name for the html file, enter a Web Page description, enter any keywords, and select Members Only or Public. Click Save. Add a title within the Content area at the top, if desired Insert a table (I used 2 columns & 6 rows to start, width 650 (other settings unchanged). 650 was discovered by trial and error – Set width and view result. Click in top left cell (or wherever you wish to insert a photo) Click on Add photo icon
- To upload a photo, Click Upload tab, then choose file (navigate to file and and select it), and send it to the server
- Click Image Info tab, Select photo from Browse server and it will appear in the preview window, set width to 325 (make sure width and height are locked). You can set Border to 0 to remove border around pics if desired. Leave other settings as is
- Click OK
Enter text into cell below pic (use Shift + Enter to force any new text lines (the Enter key alone adds spacing above and below text and between "paragraphs" of text Click Save, then Close. You can add numerous "photo" pages, and within each page you can add numerous tables to keep each event separate, or use one table to group all the photos together – your choice. By using multiple tables, you can add sub-titles and descriptions of the events between the tables. You can use the horizontal line to further add separation. If you want or need to add more rows, right click on the bottom row and select add row after. You can also add row before or after to insert rows where required.
